Conditional Transfer Pathway - Is alumni considered affiliate?

According to http://admission.gatech.edu/conditional-transfer-pathway, an applicant is given the program if he/she has a family member who is affiliated with Georgia Tech at “the point of application.”

I have a brother who graduated from Georgia Tech a few years ago. He is no longer a Georgia Tech student. Will I be eligible for this program if I don’t get accepted this year?

When we say “someone is affiliated”, does he have to be currently connected with Georgia Tech? or Does being an alumni count?

I’m asking because they recently changed the description of the program FROM “have a family member (grandparent, parent, sibling) who is an alumni or current employee of Georgia Tech” TO “have a family member (grandparent, parent, sibling, or GT employee) affiliated with Georgia Tech at the point of application”. I wondered if that implies any difference.

You will need to contact admissions to know for sure, although I would assume that alumni are considered to be affiliated with Georgia Tech. I would actually read “affiliated” to be more broad than just “alumni and current employees.”

I think a any relative who is a sibling, parent or grandparent and graduated from Ga Tech works. Are you a high school senior? Did you apply to GaTech and receive a conditional offer?
