It says on the ucsb site:
“Achieve an academic GPA of at least a 3.0 (weighted) with no grade lower than a “C” in each term of your senior year. Notify the Office of Admissions immediately if you earn a grade below a “C” in any academic course in your senior year.”
Does a “C-” count as a grade lower than C? And if so do I really have to notify the office of admission? 1st semester senior year gpa: 3.7, 2nd semester currently 3.83.
A C- is a C. UCs don’t differentiate between -/neutral/+
If you get a D, yes, but a C- is fine. Also it’s probably not a good idea to aim for a C. Aim for a B and if you miss, then no harm no foul
A C- is passing but try to get it up to a solid C or even a B by years end.
Thanks for the replies @beepybeetle @Gumbymom , it was in Honors Anatomy first semester. It is a lot tougher class than I expected. I finished with a 71. This semester I have a 79 trying to get it up to a B. And yea I never try to aim for Cs. Just kinda happened with a tougher work load I picked this year and not having the same diligence I had junior year. Will aim to get it up and finish HS on a good note tho
