Conditions of admission

Hello, I got accepted into Davis this year and heard from everybody that all I needed my second semester was to earn a 3.0 weighted GPA. So I started slacking off and I essentially have a 3.0 weighted now: I’m taking 4 APs and 1 regular class right now and I have 4 C’s and 1 B. Recently I looked at the Davis conditions of Admissions and it says

“You must maintain the same academic performance upon which your admission was based and complete ALL courses listed on your admission application for your final term with grades of “C” or better. You must also graduate from high school.”

So does this mean I also need to earn the same level of grades when I submitted my application? I had mostly A’s and a few B’s when I submitted my application and right now it’s too late to raise my grades to that high. Is it really a 3.0 weighted for the UC’s or is it different for Davis?

In the past, the provisional admission stated a 3.0 weighted GPA for Senior year, no D’s or F’s. Slacking Senior year is one reason why schools offer a provisional admission. I do not think you should have any issues as long as you maintain C’s or above in the classes but UC’s are competitive schools, so they expect all students continue with high standards Senior year just like prior years. Just remember you will need to hit the ground running come Fall and the quarter system, so get that “Senioritis” out of your system now. If you are truly concerned, you could contact UCD admissions.

BTW: UCLA/UCB require no more than 2 C’s Senior year.

Thanks for the reply! I’m doing my best to get rid of my senioritis right now haha
