Complete all senior-year courses listed on your application (including any external examinations) with an overall unweighted B average for each term and no grade lower than a C. Immediately notify us, in writing: if you did not meet the grade point average condition for any term of your senior year; or of any changes to your senior year class schedule.

If I get a grade lower than C in any of my classes, am I not satisfying the condition?
and, the part about "external examination"... does that mean I have to take all the AP exams? I was going to cancel some of the exams...omg

basically you have to do what you said on your app. you have to complete the courses and take the AP tests (from what i gather). any changes need to be reported immediately…i forget the website, it says it somewhere.
and yes, you must get a C or above in every course - no D’s or F’s…otherwise you will have some explaining to do :/

If you’re not taking the AP exams that you planned to take (or listed) on your application, then you MUST notify the admissions office as soon as possible. They will decide, on the basis of your senior year grades and courses, whether or not to alter your admissions status.

This isn’t hearsay, by the way. I have firsthand experience with this! :)

proof? because my letter responded with an a-okay, and that it’s totally fine not to take the ap classes so long as you complete the ap courses.

No, you don’t have to take the AP tests as long as you complete your AP classes. I’m not sure about what the UC apps look like this year, but the year that I did it, we didn’t have to list the AP tests that we haven’t taken yet, just the tests that we took and the AP classes that we’re in.
