hey did any of you receive a confirmation email or letter from hopkins that they received your application? i sent mine in through regular mail and i just realized they haven't sent anything to me saying that they actually received it....i'm just wondering if that's their policy or if i should go kill myself if it got lost in the mail =( heh.

From the website:

"If you have sent in all the required documents, your file should be complete. If anything is missing, someone from this office will contact you. Be assured that we will not make a decision on your file until it is complete. IMPORTANT: You must notify us if your mailing address, telephone number, e-mail address or other personal data changes during the application period; otherwise, we may not be able to notify you of your decision or missing documents."

It relates to ED applicants but the same policy hold true for RD applicants.

What is very important to note is that much of the materials received for regular decision applicants is not being processed currently. The operations staff is focused on ED applicants and will be until their decisions are mailed on Dec. 15. Then they will turn their attention to processing RD applicants -- which takes a long time.

Just have patience and know you will be contacted if anything is missing.

but i'm ED and i still haven't gotten anything...

then you should follow step #4 of the old thread and call 410-516-8171 to check
