I really hope I made it for Illinois. I think i got 79 math and missed 6 for CR. Writing 2 wrong for sure, so as long as I only made two more mistakes I should be good. Is illinois 214 or 213

I think it was 213 last year.

Edit: Nope, it was 214.

wait…
im an international and i got -3 on Writing…
and i got a 68…

Three wrong on Form S yields 68.

I might sound like an idiot, but what does this mean?

These are the curves for the October 2009 PSAT – both forms W (Wednesday version) and S (Saturday version). The first number indicates the raw score (number correct - (number of multiple choice questions wrong times 1.25)), and the second number is the scaled score.

silverturtle: what did u get? if you don’t mind answering

I wasn’t aiming for a super high score, just one high enough to render me eligible for a corporate scholarship. I still did alright, though: 227 (CR: -3, 74; Math: 80; Writing: -2, 73).

Nonetheless, I have appealed a Writing question because I believe that the College Board’s answer is incorrect; the petition is pending. If it succeeds, I will have 232.

how does it go, turtle?

^ The petition? It failed. :(

did they say anything?

Yes, I received a letter of response from one of the PSAT writers at the ETS.

Which question, out of curiosity?

Go to a few pages before the end of my guide thread; we have been discussing it (sort of).

why is there such a discrepancy in points between getting one wrong in form s writing and form w?

^The Wednesday test was determined to be more difficult than the Saturday test; the scaling makes the resulting scores have the same meaning on either test.
