Conflicting instructions for Prescreen

The audition page for the school says:

*You are required to apply to the university in addition to the Musical Theatre Program. Both applications should be submitted at the same time.

When applying to the university please declare your major as Pre-Theatre.*

The Acceptd site says:

Please do not apply for admission to Texas State University until you have completed the pre-screening process and have received an invitation to audition in person.

Which is correct?

Thanks!

Last year they told you not to apply until you received the results of the pre-screen.

It is possible that the Acceptd site has not been updated as those were the instructions for last year. I would call the TSU theatre department directly and ask.

My D did apply to both at about the same time last year. I would advise, unless the University should tell you otherwise, to apply and submit pre-screen at the same time (and Early). IF you meet the minimum requirements for the University. I say this, because, it may help you to show how much you really want to go to Texas State. I know that is a cost in addition to the application process, but, if this is in your top 3 or even 5 choices I would do it! My experience has been, too, that all of the colleges want to be sure you will be academically able to keep up with their coursework. Good Luck! Go with your instincts during this process.

They updated the Acceptd site. You are required to apply to the University at the same time as the Musical Theatre program.
