Confused about my college options

Okay, before I give my scores on everything I'd like to give a bit of background on myself. In freshman year my grandma died, I denied it for the longest time and then midway through sophomore year depression/rebellion really hit home so my grades dropped, all the way to the bottom. Then junior year I contracted acute mono and a parasite and was out for 80% of the year.

Now that I've given that I'll say my stats:
33 ACT
tri-lingual
two 4's and one 5 on AP exams
National latin exam silver metal (both years I took it)
3.8 (Junior year unweighted) 3.3 over all gpa
EC are: hospital volunteer, volunteer cheer coach, president of latin club, spanish club, Varsity cheerleader, E-Board MUN, article writer, literary magazine editor, grandmother caretaker

So here's my dilemma, before my problems hit I was the 4.3 kinda girl and am planning to be that again in senior year. So do my problems through high school make up for my gpa? Do my scores and ec's balance it out? If not (or if so) what schools should I look at?

Pick up the phone and call your HS guidance office. Find out when the counselors are around this summer, and pay a visit to them. They will be able to advise you on the best ways to handle your college selection. They know where students with profiles like yours at your high school have been admitted in the past few years.

Good luck!
