On the UC website (link above) it says the deadline for completing transfer requirements for fall admission is "prior to spring."

I'm confused by the wording here. After the fall semester, I will have my basic admission requirements done, but only 58 units. Should I pick up another class in the fall to get to 60?

By “prior Spring”, they mean that the class/requirement needs to be completed by the end of the Spring semester PRIOR to your Fall enrollment, not that you need these things prior TO Spring. So, just have all of those things completed by the end of Spring.

“Prior to enrollment” technically means that you could take courses in the Summer before enrollment to fulfill those requirements but I would definitely not suggest that! Students who do that receive very low admission priority.

UCs will not consider courses taken during the summer for admission evaluation. You MUST have ALL requirements done (60 units, GE, major prereqs) BEFORE the end of spring term prior to transfer.
