I have scores from 4 different subject tests.
I got 800 in world history, 750 in u.s. history, and 780 in math II.
Problem is with my literature score. I got 660 first time, then got 670 second time. Should I retake literature for the 3rd time?
I plan to apply to Penn and UChicago. Do those schools only look at 2 or 3 highest sat subject test scores?

No one needs more than 3 SAT IIs.. just send in world history, Math and U.S. history

Since they have the new SAT Reasoning w/ writing, an English based SAT II isn't as important anymore. It also depends on what you're going to be majoring in. If English is your major, take it again and just study harder.

Chicago does not require SAT IIs. Before you rely on what is said on these boards, you should always look to see what schools say on their own websites and be well familiar with their requirements.

Chicago neither requires nor recommends II's and they are given very little consideration if submitted. Penn requires two IIs and its policy is to consider the two highest if more than two are submitted (but note that varies among colleges, others may consider all II scores submitted even if they require only two). I see no reason to retake literature including because it does not look like you are going to score higher (and you could go lower). When you submit official scores to colleges, they will get all of your SAT and SAT II scores so there is no keeping any of them secret. No college requires more than three IIs, and only a few require three. One word of advice for all taking IIs--if you have taken three (the most that is ever needed) and have three good scores, don't give into the egotistical compulsion to take more; having one more high score really adds nothing but getting a low score may hurt you at some places.
