I'm confused about score reporting...

Do I have to send SAT II scores or AP results if schools don't require them?
It is possible to withhold some of these scores?

You only self-report AP scores on the application, AP Score Reports are only sent to the school where you matriculate.

For SAT scores, including Subject tests, you need to go to the websites of the colleges you are applying to and read their SAT policies. There is no one answer for all schools.

Is it necessary to send colleges all these scores?

I’ve heard of some people that don’t include these scores on their applications…

If schools don’t require them, you do not have to send them.
Note that grades in AP classes mirror results on AP exams. So a college will know that if you made a C or D in an AP class, you didn’t make a 4 or 5 on the AP exam.

@beolein,
I got a 3 on my AP Biology exam and a 3 on my AP Language/Composition exam.
I got a B in biology first semester and an A- second.
I got a B+ both semesters for AP Language.
Would you agree that not reporting my AP scores would reflect better on me?

No. There is no reason someone would withhold a 4 or 5, while many people choose not to report a failing score. You passed the exams. Report your scores.

I think scoring a 3 when your grades averaged as Bs is not a negative. But I’m not an admissions officer.

@beolein,
Okay, thank you.
