I will start in the fall at De anza college. Im confused, i want to transfer to a U.C. They say u need 90 units to transfer but i will end up having around 120. is that okay? im only taking 2 remedial classes* & when should i apply for a U.C. and should i really use assist. Thanks fam

Go see the transfer adviser.

De Anza is on the quarter system, as are most UCs, but Berkeley and Merced are on the semester system.

You need at least 60 semester or 90 quarter units to transfer. At most 70 semester or 105 quarter units will count toward bachelor’s degree graduation, which needs 120 semester or 180 quarter units, although all courses taken will count toward subject requirements. Note that the units need to be from courses which are listed as UC transferable.

So you will be fine with 120 quarter units from De Anza, assuming you complete all of the subject requirements to transfer to your desired major at your desired campuses. Yes, you should use http://www.assist.org to pull up lists of subject requirements for your desired major at your desired campuses.

@ucbalumnus I just saw this thank you very much you cleared a lot up.
