Confused about where to transfer and the CommonApp

Hello.

Well first about the Common App. For the Secondary School Report, is it necessary to have it filled out by a high school counselor. I mean, I graduated in 2009, but the school has gone through major administrative changes and the counselor I had doesn't even work for the school anymore (they should've fired her ass long ago). Can an academic adviser at my current institution do that?

Secondly, I haven't the slightest clue where to go. I live in Ohio near several universities (Case Western Reserve University being one of them--that's also where I have an internship in an Orgo Chem lab). I'm applying there, Ohio State, Wellesley (as my I'll-probably-never-get-in-but-I'm-an-optimist school), and Kenyon. But I know first-hand that Case's campus isn't something I'd feel like I'd enjoy. I really want to go to a school with strong academics and the usual "college experience" stuff like some school spirit and good extracurricular activities beyond working in a lab. I'd like to stay near this area, but I'm not completely against going East.

My stats:
Current institution: Community College
GPA: 4.0
Major: Chemistry (but I want to double major in Chem and English)
SAT/ACT: 26
Credit Hours: I'll have (hopefully) 49 by the time I transfer in the fall but I have 29 now.
ECs: Honors Program, Phi Theta Kappa, American Chemical Society, research at an Orgo Chem and Pharmacology lab at Case and I'm going to start volunteering at a local Food Bank soon.
HS GPa: 3.1

Help?

Someone at your high school should be able to fill out the secondary school report for you. A school like Wellesley will require your high school record.

It helps to visit schools to figure out “what you want.”

If you are looking at Wellesley, check out Bryn Mawr, Smith, and Mount Holyoke.

If you are looking at Kenyon, check out other Ohio liberal arts schools.
If you are looking at OSU, check out other Ohio public Us. ([Ohio’s Public Universities](http://www.opuac.org/))

Good luck!
