Questions about transferring

Hello.

I am currently a freshman at Case Western Reserve, and I am, of course, considering applying to a few schools as a transfer student. I should note that I am not even close to being resolved to transfer from Case, but I am, however, somewhat uneasy about staying at case as well, and I figure it may be wise to give myself a few options, in case I decide that I really to want to leave.

The schools I am considering transfering to are William and Mary, U of Virginia, and Ohio State. I'll give some of my "credentials" as well, as one thing I am interested in is of course my chances of getting into each of these schools.

High school cum. GPA: 3.7 (my weakest stat)
SAT: Math: 670; Reading: 680; Writing: 800 (Total: 2150; or 1350)
3 AP's: English Language (5); Government (5); Latin (2); a dead language anyway, right?

College GPA first semester: 3.82; classes: Microecon, Macroecon, Modern World History, German 201, and "Art, History, and the Museum" (for a special required program they have at Case, they call SAGES). I got A's in all except microecon, in which I got a B.

Aside from my chances, I have another question. How do I (unless I don't need to) retrieve my old common app info? Also, am I less likely to get finaid as a transfer student (this isn't hugely important, as I am not getting a whole lot from Case anyway).

Thanks for any help.

You will have to start afresh with the transfer common app. Generally, there is less financial aid for transfers, and colleges are more likely to be need aware for transfer admissions.

Are you in state or out of state for these schools?

You can do better than UVA, so apply to moar skoolz.

I live in Ohio, so OSU would by far be the cheapest.

I should note that I my likey major(s) would be history and/or political science (I am already declared as a history major), so Ohio State may actually be a step up from case in the humanities and social sciences (or not? any opinions are appreciated).
