I'm currently a junior and at my third high school. I haven't had problems with school in terms of courses/rigor/being able to deal with moving...except for in the EC department.

This would be my list, ideally

Soccer (9-12)
-Varsity (9-12)
-Club (9, 10, 12)
-Most Improved Player (9)
-Co-Captain (12)
Newspaper (10-12)
-Editor-in-Chief (11-12)
Youth Group (10-12)
Environmental Club (11-12)
-Awareness Committee
100+ Hours Community Service

So that looks good....right? Well now I've moved in the middle of the year. I didn't have room for journalism in my schedule (I'm not really interested in it much anymore anyways), and I'm not so sure I want to try-out for their uber-competitive soccer team. I was thinking I would just get a job and maybe try out some new things, like tryout for the rugby team (which we didn't have at my other school) and run cross country in the fall, and maybe join some business clubs (because we have so many awesome clubs at my new school..I wish I had been here all 4 years!).

So pretty much my problem is I just haven't found my knack in order to have one of those "dedicated" EC list. I still keep busy and don't have a lot of downtime (except for currently since we just got here) but I don't want my resume to look horrible. So this is what it WOULD look like

Soccer (9, 10)
-Club Soccer (9,10)
-Most Improved Player (9)
Newspaper (10-12)
-Staff Reporter (10, 12)
-Editor-in-Chief (11)
Youth Group (10-12)
FBLA (12)
Cross Country (12)
-Varsity (maybe if I train enough)
Rugby (12)
100+ Hours Volunteer Work
Part-Time Job (11-12)

Oh, and my stats are fine I would assume (3.8 GPA, def. top 10% maybe top 5% of a 986ish person class, 5 APs upon graduation, lots of honors)My list pans out like this: Indiana (#1), UWisconsin, UMichigan, UIllinois--I'll probably major in business

So.....any advice/takes on my dilemma....that's probably just a figment of my imagination....
