<p>I'm about to be a freshman in High School and have no clue what extra-curriculars I will be doing. I want to aim pretty high for colleges and I want to know what would be some good extracurriculars and COMMUNITY SERVICE I could do this year. Let me tell you a little about myself so it will be easier to give ideas for extra-curriculars:</p>
<p>Hobbies/ Interests:
-Writing- I love to write as I am currently writing my own novel.
-Acting/ Theatre Arts.
-Computers- I like html and web designing. Not sure how that could fit in.
-Anything humanities ish
-Also I'm interested in starting my own sort of business.</p>
<p>I want to HAVE A FOCUS with my extracurriculars and comunity service. I don't want it to be a bunch of random stuff. I don't want to say that I did nothing Freshman year. Any ideas?</p>

<p>I'm not really into the others, so I can't help you there. But break a leg!!!</p>
<p>You could try talking to your local theatre (if you have one) and ask if you could assist backstage during any performances. Some of my friends do this, but obviously if you don't have a local theatre (preferably a small one with friendly people :) ) then this probably won't be possible.</p>
<p>drama club, plays/musicals, writing for the local/school newspaper, publishing a novel(can be done), starting a business to design web sites for local businesses?(or something like this)</p>
<p>oops sorry, for community service volunteer for the library, and maybe try for an internship in web design, or for a magazine. you could also organize a play for little children(shows leadership skills)</p>
