Hello everyone, I am new to CC and I find myself in quite the dilemma. I currently attend UCF and during my winter break I have contemplated moving back to my hometown to go to FIU. I have based this decision on being unable to afford living in the Orlando area and being unhappy with the academic quality of this university. But as I continue to research other Florida universities which excel in my major( Public Health and Health administration) I have found that UF offers the best program in the state. So now as I enter my spring semester, I am stuck making a decision. Transfer to UF in the summer and then continue my education there or transfer to FIU to finish my general education requirements and save money before I transfer to UF as a junior? All input is greatly appreciated. :)

Well I just noticed on the UF website that freshman/sophomore transfers(lower-division applicants with 13-59 transferable credits) are currently not accepted due to space limitations. I guess that answers my question then.

You also could consider completing your gen eds at Miami Dade. That might be even less expensive for you than FIU. Check the Miami Dade website for information about articulation (guaranteed transfer) agreements with UF. There may be one specifically for your major.

Good luck!
