Clubs?

What sorts of clubs are there? Where can you find information on them?

http://www.bu.edu/sao/orgs/name.html

Some of them don't have websites, but most of them have at least an email (or are self-explanatory).

Apparently there'll be some sort of club fair at the GSU in the first week or so of school.

I'm kind of hoping for some kind of anime/manga or video game club. ^_^''

There are anime clubs, video game clubs, and numerous video game tournaments organized all the time (Madden, Guitar Hero, etc.). In the student lounge (BU Central) we have lots of video games, pool tables, ping-pong, and all other fun stuff. And yes, more clubs than you can count. Right after matriculation, they typically have a big activities fair and all clubs set up tables and booths so you can learn more about them.

ahhh i'm so excited for billiards :]]
i never get to play it and now i can play it everyday in warren! hahaha
warren has a pool table right?

Yes, Warren has a pool table. I used to play down there from time to time. The table isn't the best quality, so I usually just walked a block down to BU Central. They have some really nice tables there. If you are interested in billiards, BU has a Billiards Club that is for all skill levels. They hold tournaments, clinics, and practice in some of the nicest pool halls in Boston. I used to be a member and I paid one fee and it covered all the pool we would play in the upscale halls.

A Quiz Bowl team and a Unitarian Universalist student organization? Cool. Two more reasons to like BU a whole lot. =)

Do all clubs have club fees?

No. Most don't in fact. Come join Wandering Minds :-) The coolest theatre group around

I would if I didn't have stage fright. Unless you guys need someone to stand there silently. Maybe I can be a tree. xD

haha I suck as acting, that's why I joined the eboard of the group. and now I'm president. it's fantastic

Oooooh, Mr. President. xD

How does Wandering Minds differ from On Broadway? Because I've always been more of a fan of musical theatre, but I do want to continue acting in college.

How many clubs do you think one can join while keeping a good balance with academics? 2-3? (assuming one is fairly involved in each club).

The following are the clubs I am interested in, but am afraid I have to cut down the list to 2 or 3 maximum:

Badminton Club
BU Choral Society
Mihlal: Korean Christian Fellowship
Hugs Don't Hate

And if anyone knows anything about these clubs/what they do/etc, feel free to provide information. Thanks :)

Wandering Minds is more of a general theater group. we do all kinds of genres and special projects. On broadway is JUST musical theater and they are a bit bigger so there's more competition to get things done. Not that that's a bad thing, I just like being in a smaller group.

And that's MS. President. ;-)

judo/jiu jitsu club ftw :D

And that's MS. President. ;-)

But Mr. President is manly. xD Even if you're a girl, it's way better to be a king than a queen. ^_~

Oh! Martial arts! But I bet that requires like previous experience. -_- I can't even win in dodgeball.

Cigar Aficionado Society!

Kung Fu Club! xD

Ms. President - are you Stephanie?
