I am a bit confused on how some of you self study for AP exams. Do you guys buy actual books for the exam or just buy the review books by PR and companies like that?
Thanks

Self study is just that, self study. Everybody does their own thing, nobody’s telling people what to do. Some people get professors to help them. I just read a prep book before the test.

WHat have been your scores for self studies? For what courses?

I’m pretty sure my self-studies will be 5s whereas one of my tests which I had a class for will probably be lower. This is probably b/c it is one of the harder APs.

I just used the review book the week (um… night for Human Geo) before the exam.

Anyone can self-study APES and Human Geography though, they are quite easy.

For the most part, I just got review books for my self-studies, and except for stats last year, which I got a 3 on (and maybe US gov this year, which I may have received a 4), I’ve gotten, or am pretty sure I will get, 5s on all of my AP exam self-studies. I’m sure if I would’ve spent 2 weeks or so on Stats instead of 2 days, I would’ve easily gotten a 5.
