Confusion about Credits and your Standing

Hi,

Quick questions regarding credits and your standing.

When a college says "the maximum units you can transfer is 60 units", does that mean you should be discouraged to complete more than 60 units in a community college?

If you do more than 60 units, would that disqualify you as a transfer seeing as how you will be considered to have junior standing?

What about AP credits? Do they count towards the 60 units?

Thanks!

It depends on the individual college’s policies. Yale, for example, won’t accept transfers with more than 60 units. Other colleges just transfer a maximum of 60 credits.

More credits aren’t necesarily better.
