I know that some colleges offer an "early decision II" with the deadline around January . . . but I don't really understand how it works. Is it just ED but with a later date, and are ED and ED II pools considered the same?

Does it mean that if someone got rejected/deferred ED at another school, they can do ED II at another?

Similar to ED, in the way that it works. ED II has a later deadline but the are reviewed separately. ED I usually lets applicants know by 12/15, while ED II lets applicants know by 02/15.

Yes, if you get defered or rejected during an ED I round, you can apply ED II somewhere else.

that's pretty nice . . .is there a list somewhere of schools with ED II?

Check the Common Application site under the College Info tab...then click on the schools you're interested in....and it will tell you.

i second that request..it would be nice to know

darn ><
the school I was looking for ended ED II. Ah well.

thanks for the help Isle!
