Confusion about harvard admission requirement

I'm REALLY confused. I just emailed harvard and they said 3 SAT IIs are required, but ppl who went to the session said they said 2 SAT IIs.

I'm a bit confused about it as well,
but I went to the session and was told that 3 SAT IIs are still going to be required, and that's also what the admissions website says:
<a href="http://www.admissions.college.harvard.edu/prospective/applying/requirements/%5B/url%5D">http://www.admissions.college.harvard.edu/prospective/applying/requirements/</a></p>

so count on 3! good luck!

silly me and my don't-wanna-take-3-laziness...I guess that's what happens after a ton of aps...
aw well 3 is not bad at all

Hang in there!

Well I took two already (Molecular Bio hopefully 750, US history praying for a 700). I'll take math IIC and chemistry in october

There was no reason for Harvard to change its 3 SAT II requirement since (unlike what's the case with several similar colleges), Harvard never required the SAT II writing. All it required was 3 SAT IIs.

Thank you Northstarmom and everyone who answered...I was just so confused because I kept getting conflicting responses from people at school and guidance couselors :)

It's not so bad, really
I had planned on taking 4 anyway, so my plans haven't changed.

I'm taking 4 as well candlize; I seem to have developed some sort of affinity for SAT IIs in subjects that interest me such as Math, Chem, Bio, and US History.
Good Luck! :)

I'll be taking Bio (probably M but haven't decided), Spanish, Japanese, and ...Literature will be my 4th if I think I can do well on it.
Since I plan to concentrate in Hispanic Lit... I feel I should take spanish and lit... japanese just because i've studied it enough to do well, and bio just to show i'm well rounded.

Good luck with your tests. When I took 3 SAT IIs in a row in 10th grade, my scores declined with each test. For the first test, there were a lot of my friends in the room. For the second, there were only two people left. For the last test, I was stuck alone in the room with a really weird teacher. But maybe in your schools, people normally take 3 SAT IIs. In my school, I was the only one that day.
