Hey, this is a question directed for the NewYorkState TAP (Tuition Assistance Program). I'm at the part where I'm filling out my college choices. And it only has 4 choices, each one being a different season term (Fall, Winter, Summer, Spring). I'm not sure how the selection process for this works. I mean, every college I want to attend I want to attend for the fall term, but the interface doesn't let me do that. My question is, is the TAP only for ONE college for ONE term? Any input would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

You can only put one NYS college on your TAP application. Check off each term that you’re applying for TAP for that school. It would normally be Fall and Spring if your school is on a semester basis. If you need to change schools or terms later, you can update your application or simply call HESC and they will do it for you.

Ah, I see. Well I just sent my FAFSA out. Guess I should wait on sending out my TAP until I get an actual admissions result back from the colleges I applied. Thanks sk8rmom!

No prob…good luck! And yes, there’s really no huge rush to do the TAP app before your taxes are done. IIRC, HESC imports most of the FAFSA data, so you may want to update your FAFSA to avoid having to make changes on two apps.
