Does anyone know how to submit TAP to multiple colleges? Looks like I can have only one school selected. And how to deal with fall-spring-winter-summer choices? Do we need to know on what schedule each school is? (we do not). Do many schools have winter semesters in addition to spring and fall? Or they mean seasons? Does "summer" refer to this summer or summer 2009?

I am confused, I thought TAP was hooked into the FAFSA Site when it re-directed and had all of the info already on?

I checked and you are right!! It only shows NYU as my D's colleges. I wonder how to fix?

I also got to TAP through FAFSA, and the form was pretty much filled, and also showed one school only, te one where we sent FAFSA first. I am trying to add NYU while keeping that school. And to add couple more schools.

Bump anyone?

I called the hotline and they were no help at all. They said "we want to know where you are going in the fall". I said we don't know and cannot know without all of the FA info. Looking at how much TAP my D is supposed to get, does the amount change depending on what school is put in? For instance even though we have similar financial circumstances my D is showing about 8 times as much TAP with NYU as her school in there as her friend is with Ithaca as her school. Very strange since each got very similar FA packages from Ithaca as well.

My understanding is that you can only have one school filled in for TAP, and if the school that's currently listed isn't the one you end up going in the Fall, you simply call them to change it (or change it online/via the paper TAP change form) once you've decided where you're going.

That's right. We had Ithaca College (private), but DD decided not to go there, so we put in her only other NY school (SUNY Potsdam). I don't remember what they estimated for Ithaca, and we haven't gotten the amount for Potsdam yet.

SO the amount does vary depending on what school is listed on your form?

I'd imagine a school's tuition would have some impact on the amount of TAP awarded...perhaps higher tuition=higher TAP?

OK, we just got something in the mail from Fredonia (again, not going there), but they had the TAP listed as $800 something. If I remember correctly, when we had Ithaca plugged into the TAP form, they said $900 something. However, when my daughter started at RIT 2 years ago, the amount the school estimated was about 150 per quarter more than what she actually received. When we accepted the award package, it stated that TAP was an estimate.
