To the members of the Harvard College Class of 2011:

Welcome to Harvard! You are really joining a special community. As a sophomore here, I definitely remember when I was accepted. I am just writing to you guys to do the following tonight:

1) Go out with your family! Thank your parents! Hug your siblings! This is really a family affair.

2) Start researching all you want about Harvard. I am an expert on http://www.prefrosh.net, which is an unofficial guide to Harvard brought to you by current undergrads. Saxfreq1128 also posts on it as well. Just to be clear, we're no way connected to Harvard University officially and it is not University-sanctioned (though we think we give pretty good advice, we have to put this disclaimer for legal reasons).

3) Frame your acceptance letter! Run through the streets!

Welcome -- you have, indeed, joined a special community. If you have any questions about Harvard specifically, feel free to PM me, and I'm sure the undergrads on this board will be very receptive as well (Admiral '10, justforgetme '09, Saxfreq1128 '09, lowellbelle '09, sunglasses '09, etc.)!

"I'm sure the undergrads on this board will be very receptive as well"

I'm sure this applies to alumni, recent and distant, as well. I was at Harvard from 1997-2002, and I'm especially happy to talk to future psych majors and those interested in singing and/or theater.

WindCloud-Nice seeing you at the Crimson on Friday! Congrats on getting elected (if I remember correctly?)

Class of 2011–Post a lot on CollegeConfidential, so that you can have lots of awkward turtle style "uhh, i know you from cc" moments freshman year!

Haha...yeah dude...thanks. Was a fun but tiring night.
Funny too that I bumped into J.L. I knew her parents but we haven't seen each other in like 4-5 years haha.
Who knew there would be benefits from posting on an insane, hypertense college board?

Hi guys, congrats before anything on having been admitted into Harvard. I am currently studying at a two year community college, and after traveling and living in various countries I am finally installed and finishing school in NYC. Could you guys share with me some of your academic and outside curriculum activity that you feel made you stand out among the pool? How is or was your experience at Harvard? everything you expected? and lastly but equally if not more importantly, what advice would you share with someone like myself that is planning to apply as a transfer student? Thanks
