Did anybody get notified of acceptance status yet??

No, I haven’t gotten a letter yet either. What state are you from? I’m Maryland.

Do you get a notification even if you didn’t get accepted? I applied and they told me the notification letters will be mailed out by April 16th. I still didn’t get anything today :(

I just got my letter! and don’t worry swimmer4001 the website said they mailed it out by that date, not that people get the letter by then. so if you live kinda far away then it might take longer to get there

wow that was fast!! I guess I’ll wait. I just really want to know right now. It sucks to feel so uncertain. If I get accepted, we should create a facebook group.

Congratulations justpeachy That’s amazing!
Also do you know what state it was sent from b/c i didn’t get mine yet either… :/

its from Ashland, so the state is Ohio.

oh hmmm i’m really worried now. when you guys applied, did you have to mail anything? or did you just fill out that online form…

Ah! I’m still waiting on my letter! Theoretically it may have arrived today, but I have no way of knowing until I can get back to my mom’s house…

Which is really annoying.

I got my letter today!!!

Congrats Black’s Law Umm…when you applied did you just complete the online form w/out mailing anything, etc.?

Yeah, I didn’t mail anything in. I read some of your above posts…I’m one of the Oregon reps I guess and if you didn’t get yours yet…you must be in Alaska or Hawaii lol.

oh…i guess maybe they only sent letters to ppl who were accepted? :/

I don’t know, dude…can’t say. It’d be pretty bad if they only sent out letters to ppl that were accepted. I think they’d do both…TASP did both, haha. Don’t sweatttt it, it could just be your mail service? I’d call them and ask them about it.

@justpeacy1…congrats dude! I’ll see you there? Someone should make a facebook group for this, haha.

I’m quite sure that everyone receives a letter, regardless acceptance/rejection.

The only thing in my mailbox today was a subscription renewal from National Geographic. AGH.

Ha, what state are you?

so i’m going to make a facebook group called “Congressional Academy 2010” (which is totally original i know haha) so it will make it easier for other people not in this discussion to join if they search it on fbbb

I emailed Lisa Ormiston to ask about the notifications and this is what I got:

The committee will be meeting this weekend to determine the participants. The notification letters should be mailed by April 16.
