Is it? I mean the one in June like from the 10-15th or some date around there...cuz I already got plans...

CI is mandatory, but you have 4 choices within the month of June and July. It is only 2 or 3 days and you got 4 options, so don't worry if you have plans, but plan acccordingly to meet in the one most convenient to you. They take care of a lot of the paperworkk, and the GWolrld Card (your formal ID card for the next 4 years)

Also, if it really is impossible for you to attend because of prior plans, you can go to the CI right before schools starts (it's usually reserved for International students and transfers). However, I'd only do this as a last resort- it is not NEARLY as much fun as the regular CIs!

hi i got 1 more question
Is it Mandatory for my parents to go to if I am already 18?
Also What kind of stuff will I be doing there?
thanks

No, it's not mandatory for parents to go (even if you weren't 18). If they did go though, there is completely separate programming for them- you wouldn't be seeing much of each other.

At CI, you watch several presentations by the Colonial Cabinet (student orientation leaders), have discussions with your Cabinet small group leader, eat lots of free food, get a chance to explore the city, and other activities that change from year to year. You'll be living in one of the residence halls for the 2 nights, and that alone gives you a great chance to meet other freshmen!
