I beg your pardon. I just thought that if those liberals have a thread, it would only be right for the conservatives to have one too.

raises hand I'm a conservative. Well mostly. Definitely a fiscal conservative, but not such a social one.

No other posts?

I'm an extreme environmentalist and I do think that I am pro-choice on the topic of abortion. Actually, I'm sort of undecided or maybe I just don't care but anyway, that's the only liberal thing I have if it counts anyways.

I'm pro-choice, neutral on gay-marriage and I'm an agnostic. Besides that I'm conservative all the way.

I guess the liberals outnumber us.

I'm not really conservative, I'm a vegetarian, pro-choice, an environmentalist, and neutral on gay-marriage. But I'm very muhc a fiscal conservative, and I want to be a naval officer, which some may see as conservative.

I'm against gay marriage, undecided on abortion, and a Christian.

Does that make me conservative? :)

I'm a fiscal conservative but I'm a social liberal

"fiscal conservative but I'm a social liberal"

^Different strokes for different folks, I reckon. Indeed, I am a conservative who wishes to keep traditional values in America. Quite frankly, I am a George Dubya fan with fervor.
Prompt: Which republican candidate do you believe to be the best for the 2008 Presidential elections?
These are my top choices as follows: Rudy Guliani, Tom Mckain, or Elizabeth Dole. Who do YOU believe to be the best candidate for the Presidency.

I am an extreme social liberal and an economic conservative.
And yes, Jonathan K. from your posts here you are a definite right-winger.
To Justinian:
McCain, partially because he is willing to tackle problems that no one else wants to go after.

Just to clarify - I don't like Bush. :) I rather have had Kerry win.

Can we say little Jonny K. is an honorary liberal?

Rice would be the best candidate. She embodies the conservative party best. I don't know that it would be wise to nominate her, but she definitely deserves consideration.

"Can we say little Jonny K. is an honorary liberal?"

Call me stupid but... huh?

Well, I just don't want a woman for a president. I'm terribly old-fashioned, and I don't think I could stand it if a lady became president. Maybe, after I die.

I highly doubt Rice will ever be president. I don't see the conservatives giving it up enough to vote for someone who isn't white and a woman. Frankly, I think there are a lot of liberals who feel the same. I hope Guiliani gets it, but i'm not forseeing much into the future. What are today's issues might not be the issues of '08 and then the nominees might totally be different.

I'm a Midwestern farm girl who is against gay marriage, against most abortions, for the war in Iraq, and a Christian...so yes I'm a conservative, unlike most people on this board.

Go Guiliani, although you can't predict too much this early

Me! Fiscal very conservative, socially middle of the road.

Why not? (I'm just curious - I'm not try to antagonize you or anything). While I would support a competent female candidate as much as a competent man, I don't think Clinton and Rice stand a chance. But I think Rice would be very good.

I would just like to see someone of another race, male or female, take over the presidency. (However they must be competent and willing to tackle potentially contentious problems such as outsourcing, immigration, and political corruption.)

I really like Elizabeth Dole, yet I doubt that she would run. My second choice would be Guliani. All I can say is: Anybody but Hilary!

I'm a McCain fan. I'd like him to be president very much. But if it came down to a Bush clone (religious Republican) I'd pick Hilary any day, although it would be a little painful.

If not McCain, Guiliani would be a close second.
