Construction Management at Cal Poly SLO

Well, I got into Cal Poly SLO under construction management, and that is where I will most likely go since I didn't get into any other schools I actually want to go to lol. My guidance counselor originally told me to apply for const management because it is easier to get in, and it has similar engineering courses, so I could transfer a little more easily to mechanical engineering.

However, I have become interested in the major, because it seems like construction managers do not only rely CAD day in and day out, and there is a business aspect to it. I plan on going to graduate school, so if I stuck with the major, would it be possible to get an MBA from a top business school or is it a totally unrelated field? Is there a possibility of going into investment banking? Do you know of any other business related options I may have? Thanks a lot.

It's alot of business, this degree is offered at SIUE (my school). It's not much engineering/math at all. I was also interested in this program.

You can go to business school with any major (I was a bio major in college and I'm going to get my MBA starting this fall). You just need good grades, good GMAT, and good work experience.

oh ok thanks. How do plan on combing your biology degree with your MBA in the future?

I don't...I'm doing the MBA so I can switch careers.

Sorry, I thought people generally use their undergraduate degree in combination with their MBA. I was also interested in the opportunities involved with Biology and an MBA.
