Consulting internships as a sophomore

I'm wondering what is the best way to use my summer as a sophomore of I'm trying to break into MBB consulting. I currently have an offer from one of the largest healthcare consulting firms in the world overseas (not a great presence in the US though, mostly in Asia and the Middle East), but I am not sure whether it is as good as it sounds since the name may not be widely recognized here. However, I will certainly be able to get very involved with their projects.
Should I look into boutique consulting firms domestically? Where can a sophomore get a shot?

Thanks

bump…anybody?

I am curious as well!

If you have an internship offer as a rising junior, you are way ahead of your peers. The thing is, the name of your company is far less important than your role with them. If you are applying to McKinsey, an “internship” at Bain where you just file papers and make copies will be irrelevant and useless compared to an internship at a random no-name company where you do legitimate research for paying clients.

If you have gotten an offer, you should see if you can get other offers, but a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush: if you already have an offer, don’t let it expire because you’re searching for something even better!
