on the Emory supplement for common app there is a whole section on contact with Emory...i really like Emory and am applying there RD. My parents are a little reluctant to let me visit there..or let me go to any of the regional receptions(i am from PA)...would it hurt my chances if i don't have any campus visit or haven't gone to any of their regional visits??

Don't worry about that too much. Emory does like to see interest in their applicants, but don't stress over it. I applied ED. I live in California so I haven't visited the campus. I just kept in touch with admissions counselors through email a lot and I ordered the video visit from them a while before. So don't worry about that section too much and focus more on the other parts. There are most likely some things you could check in that section.

Order the video visit from the admission web site, and check the box on the application for it. That will fulfill the "demonstrated interest" section of the application just as well as visiting campus.

thx very good ideas!
sir14fun, are keeping in touch with ur regional admission counselors?
does emory require a interview btw?

I kept in touch through email. Emory doesn't require an interview, but I received an email that said it was available in my area if I was interested. It's best to use those opportunities for your advantage if available. I had my interview last weekend and I think it went really well.
