contacting admissions

so recently i received the email address of an admissions officer for one of my colleges. she came to visit our school and i asked my counselor for her contact information.

so i was wondering if i should email her, letting her know of my interests in attending so-and-so college. or would that seem rude and desperate?

& if i should email her, how would i begin the email?

thanks for your help. :D

It's good if you can write with a legitimate question about the school, one that's not easily found on the college's web page. How 'bout:

Dear Mr./Ms. Smith,

I'm sorry that I wasn't able to meet you in person during your recent visit to Ridgemont High. I have applied to X, and . . .

^ lol, i did meet her in person.

im just wondering what would be a good way to start the email without sounding too desperate, but making a lasting impression.

BUMP :D

anyone else have any suggestions?

Dear Ms. Smith:
