<p>I am anxiously awaiting DS's financial aid award for his sophomore year. I heard the Financial Aid Office starts releasing them today. If you have received your award, please post and let us know how it compares to last year's!</p>
<p>I am in the same boat. We submitted updated information months ago and are waiting. We are expecting at least the same award as last year. We have also been told by one of the FA advisors that as we spend down our assets the award will increase. I sure hope so! The website says continuing undergrads will hear in July, so I am surprised to see in the above post that they are currently being released. NC Mom- how did you hear of this? I hope will all get satisfying news.</p>
<p>I searched the FAQ for Financial Aid posts from the last couple of years. The first posts began appearing in early June each year. We had all our documentation so I am hoping we are in the early group!</p>
<p>Do you all have room in your boat? We were told awards for continuing students would come in July by FA officer. We shall see. Keeping fingers crossed for all our families.</p>
<p>I see July on the website, but I was hoping that it was just their drop dead date and that they would be trickling in around now like in past years! DS is studying abroad this fall too so I am eager to see how that effects us. His Pres. scholarship will be reduced because the study abroad tuition is much less. Welcome aboard Madbean!</p>
<p>I am on pins and needles here too. I also searched past threads and saw some released June 16 - I think that was two years ago. I think I have read both “mid-June” and “July” on the website. </p>
<p>Last year we were able to stretch enough to cover costs without taking the unsubsidized loan. Now that the rates have gone up I really hope we can do that again, or maybe even borrow less than the total subsidized amount.</p>
