Convert to Early Decision? (Good Audtion)

My child recently visited and had an excellent audition with much positive feedback that seemed genuine. Today, the school sent a letter (it was a form letter) saying it's not too late to change your regular decision application to early decision.

It's tempting but some questions and considerations.

I know there's thinking that you leave money on the table if you don't do RD. Would they extend the same merit/talent/need aid that they would have granted if she went RD? Another wrinkle is that she originally applied SAT optional. The scores are within the Muhlenberg range, but we didn't see an advantage or disadvantage to submitting them, so they weren't. But after the positive vibes, the thought is to submit the scores to be technically eligible for merit awards. The GPA is well above average, while the SAT is average.

These are tough, probably unanswerable questions, but it would certainly make everyone's life easier if we knew soon what was happening next year.

My dd will be attending Muhlenberg in the Fall and applied ED.
She had enough of a relationship with her Admissions person that she was able to talk to and answer questions and before we applied ED I was able to talk to Admissions and FA before making a decision.

My dd is majoring in bio not theatre so not sue how that works but everyone I have spoken to so far (even when I had questions about FA forms I had to fill out) has been
extremely helpful and nice and perhaps you can get some clarification to your questions.

Good luck.
