Convince me to come to Emory...

So it's down to the wire.

I'm deciding between Emory, Dartmouth, and UVa.

I want to study business/econ (potentially to work on wall street or something similar).

Why should I go to Emory over the other two schools? I'm stuck guys..convince me!

All three are great schools. I chose Emory for business because of several factors. Emory has small class sizes (as I am sure Dartmouth has, but maybe not some classes at UVA). Emory has world-class business facilities. Emory has strong connections with a large US city (unlike Dartmouth and UVA). However, you can also get jobs anywhere in the US. If you have been looking at the business major threads, you have seen that none of these three schools are the best for New York finance positions (not like UPenn and NYU). However, Emory provides one of the best secondary options (it is still very possible to get to Wall Street). Also, Emory is the best school if you are considering corporate finance, it has strong ties with the unofficial "financial capital of the South," Charlotte (Wachovia is a corporate partner). Emory also may provide a more relaxed academic atmosphere than Dartmouth. Ultimately, I think it comes down to personal preference. I would choose between Emory and Dartmouth (does Dartmouth even have an undergrad business school?), but that is my personal opinion. Dartmouth's name and recongnition is hard to pass up. However, Emory is awesome too!

Dartmouth.

Business at Emory is so easy to get into. Almost everyone changes their major to business during his or her soph/junior year.

If you want to succeed, Darthmouth. It is the only way.

You kidding me? How could you compare Dartmouth to Emory ?
Definetely Dartmouth!!! No contest!!!

Have you visited any of those schools?

Do not take advice from "Dads" that use multiple exclamation points and writes silly things like "No contest!!!"

I know nothing about the business program at Emory, but I do know these schools are in very different environments. Do you want a rural location great for outdoor sports, or do you need/want the attractions of a city....either in terms of entertainment or nearby companies? A student happy at one school could easily be miserable at the other. Think about the kind of place you want to go to school as well as the actual program.

dartmouth, definately
