convincing parents..boarding school..help?

how do I convince my parents to let me go to boarding school?
Idyllwild arts academy..
this is basically my DREAM school, and I still cant even find a way to tell my mom that I want to go!
I recently told her that I wanted to go to an art school, but then she started looking in to the one in our school district. problem is i dont like it that much. lots of drugs and blah, and I went there once and i just didnt like the enviroment. they also dont have very good academics and such.
now my moms finally considering me going to that school, but now how do I tell/convince her that I really want to go to Idyllwild?
its in california, about 2 hours away from alot of our family, and we're going down there for christmas. with christmas coming up close, I should really tell my mom...
how do I tell her I want to go to a boarding school??(then I need to convince her)
do you know how much financial aid the people there get on average?
sorry so many questions but im kinda starting to freak out.

First off tell her and see her reaction. Then reiterate it over and over again and show that you really are serious about this. That's what I did.

Do all the work yourself. Go on line and have the application information sent to you. Do as much work on your own as you can before you absolutely need your family's involvement. Sign up for SSATs on your own. Study on your own for it. If you have money of your own, pay for the SSAT test and even if a study course if you believe one is necessary (it's not, you can study on line or with a book from Borders). Pay for the application fee. Arrange an interview.

Your mom may still say no. But it's harder to do so when your actions have demonstrated your interest rather than just your words.

laxtaxi is absolutely right.
I set up interviews, contacted schools, got the materials, and basically did all the busy work needed before you can actually begin working with your parents in tandem.
Especially if they're against it.
So get to work!! And good luck

I concur. Laxtaxi is right.

heyy :) were you able to convince your parents?
