I picked Keeton for next year. I hope it's awesome.

I am very friendly with the Keeton House Dean -- Jefferson Cowie. He is the man.

they're all so similar that to compare them is like comparing apples to apples. I mean, some people would like macintosh more, and maybe some like fuji more, but it's all down to personal choice and they're still all apples. Same with the west campus houses.

All three are relatively quiet, clean, new, bright, and filled with upperclassmen. There's a dining hall in each and those are also very similar, with slight differences in what each dining hall does best. I personally like Cook's dining hall the best. And some think Becker's the best, and some will think Bethe is the best. Anyway, if you live in any of these dorms, you will have unlimited access to all three so it doesn't matter.

Comparing distances doesn't do you any good either, because they are all so close to each other, and yes, they are all at the bottom of the slope. As long as there's a slope there, it's a moot point. If you are an engineer, and you had to pick between Cook and Bethe, I would pick Bethe because it is closer to the Engineering quad, and if you're an architect, then I would pick Cook because it's the closest to the Arts Quad. But it's not big enough of a difference to definitely pick one over another.

A more interesting discussion would be collegetown vs West campus. Those are very different birds.

Any thoughts on Lyon Hall?

It's a gothic on West Campus. Pretty views, with a lot of history behind it. You also get the pleasure of waking up to the Jenny McGraw Rag every morning.

^^haha...I also had that "pleasure" when I lived in the Transfer Center. I also got to deal with the morning construction right outside my window...that was awesome. I hope Bethe/Keeton house is worth all the needless early mornings and dust build up!!! :-P

Professor Olpadwala of the Bethe House seems cool too ;)
