Cool ways to get accepted?

I wanted to know if making good youtube videos can increase your chances to get accepted into a good colleges.

What would the videos be about? Most likely not, Sorry.

Yeah most likely not. I don’t know if you are aware but there was a very popular video on YouTube that was actually featured on the Conan O Brian show. A girl made a video expressing her high desire in getting accepted to Yale and showed off all her Yale clothing but she ended up getting rejected. Obviously it didn’t help her get in but no one really knows its effect on the Yale admission committee except for them

Well, if you become a youtube partner with like 50k+ subscribers, thats a good EC is guess lol

If this is your thinking process or what you consider original or even a good question to pose … then I think based on that: your chances are slim.

I’m trying to imagine how such a strategy could be successful. I don’t really think the admissions officers at MIT are all sitting around saying to each other, “I’m so tired of all these applicants with really good grades, top SAT scores, glowing teacher recommendations, and incredible talent in science and math. Let’s try something different!”

It’s true that even if you’re a well qualified applicant, the chances of getting into a particular top-notch college aren’t very good. But I don’t think gimmickry is going to improve an individual’s prospects, and I’m quite sure it’ll do nothing for the applicant who really doesn’t have a shot based on the rest of his or her application.
