I'm applying to Cooper Union Advancement of Arts and Science next year..

and I want to know if it's a very competive school? How many students get

in and if i have the chances to get in?

My Sat scores were horrible it was only a 1210<-- Taking the exam in October

I'm never do good in Reasoning Exams but in my school work and GPA i'm one

of the smartest in my school.. Current Avg is 97.0

Do you think i have a chance at all?

Cooper accepts only 13% of applicants (last year, 104 of 1016 women accepted, 204 of 1285 men.) Almost everyone is in top 10% of class and average SAT 2000 on 2400 point scale (1330 on 1600 scale). If your 1210 is on 1600 point scale, you would fall at the 75th percentile, or three-quarters of the class scores higher. Cooper applicants often apply to Cornell and Columbia as their reach schools, if that also helps in your self-assessment.

Also, Cooper Union tends to deemphasize grades in favor of talent. There's a home test along with the application, and if it turns out that you're fantastically talented in your expected major, you'll get in.

Yes for their art profram, and a portfolio for architecture. But for engineering they only look at standardized tests and gpa, and if you completed the first year of their course work
