Copies of Recommendation letters???

Hi guys

I’m currently thinking about applying to just one uni as early decision and no other unis for regular decision or anything.
I’ve asked 3 teachers for recommendations and they are happy to do so.

However if I happen to change my mind and therefore need recommendations to put on other uni applications, can they attach the same letters as I invite them on common app or should I tell them to keep a copy so that they can use that to attach it?

So my question is if I’ve already asked the teachers to write rec letters and they don’t save a separate copy and few weeks later I ask them to attach the same letters on different uni app, would they be able to do so (automatically perhaps??) Or am I supposed to tell them to save it on their personal drive or something for possible use in the future?

Your recommenders will only provide one, generic recommendation on your behalf. You will then have the option to assign that one recommendation to as many or as few college applications as you wish. So even if you have had a recommender submit a recommendation for you for your Early Decision school, you still have the option to attach that same recommendation to another application later on if you would like.
