Copy of acceptance letter?

Hello, I am looking for a copy of acceptance letter from the UChicago portal. Feel free to cross your name out, I am just looking to see if my friend made up a fake acceptance letter and is rubbing it in my face or not, if that makes sense.
Well if he did get in, congrats on him, but yeah.
Sorry if this seems off topic, but I just thought it was sketchy he printed a copy instead of showing me the web portal one.

This is a super weird request but here’s this years, courtesy of an accepted student from my high school:

Dear $name,

Congratulations! It is my great pleasure to inform you that you have been admitted to the University of Chicago’s Class of 2019. With your exceptional academic record, strong voice, and impressive accomplishments, you have distinguished yourself in one of the largest and most competitive applicant pools.

For over a century, the College’s academic tradition has thrived because of students like you who crave ideas that captivate, provoke, and transform. We imagine you in our laboratories and on our performance stages, in our libraries and on our athletic fields, immersed in your passions and engaged in the pursuit of knowledge. As part of our College Houses, you will cultivate lifelong friendships; in our classrooms, you will create and inhabit a vibrant intellectual space with your peers and professors.

In the coming months, I invite you to explore all that UChicago has to offer. Join us April 9-10 or April 16-17 for one of our Admitted Student Open Houses, at which you will experience firsthand a rich community of scholars, friends, and neighbors. The enclosed information provides details about how to arrange your visit and confirm your enrollment at UChicago. We look forward to receiving your reply as soon as you are ready–but no later than May 1, 2015.

We invite you to be part of a school with a glorious history and an exciting present. We look to you to help us grow, to grow with us, and to be part of a tradition that elevates us all.

Sincerely,

James G. Nondorf
Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid

If you want a better way to see if he got in or not, ask what UChicago has sent him. Accepted students are sent a scarf, shirt, hat, pen, PSAC’s prospie guide (I think it’s called the “Insider’s Guide to the University of Chicago” or something), and a sticky note pad. You could also ask to see the scarf - it’s maroon with “uchicago” written in gothic letters on one end.

Hmm…the word “CONGRATULATIONS!” also appears at the top of the decision letter with each letter in a different colored circle. If you mouse over, the letter bubbles scatter and it’s fun to play with. You could see if he knows about that.

Why should you care so much if he faked the letter? Really none of your business.

@excanuck99 I don’t think you’re in any position to accuse other people of caring too much about something. You spend an awful lot of time on the UChicago forums insulting the school for reasons that are very unclear to me (I hate Stanford, Princeton, Penn and Dartmouth but you wouldn’t find me trolling their forums telling them all to come to UChicago - different strokes for different folks). And anyways, OP’s “friend” made it OP’s business when he started rubbing his alleged acceptance in OP’s face.

Thanks for understanding YogSothoth, really appreciate it!
and as for you @excanuck99, its because I got waitlisted and if he is doing this to me for no reason honestly then I dont want to continue being friends with this person.
