Okay, I want to do AEM at Cornell or any other Economics/ Business degree, so I want to make sure I have a really good shot. (im a sophomore in hs)
I think GPA should be okay ~3.9
Rank good.
SATs there.
Good Recs.
Volunteer A lot - meaningful.
The only thing im worried about are awards and like ECs.

ECS
I am in 3 clubs: Gifted/Mentorship Club; FBLA, and Academic Decathlon, Im also in the table tennis club too :) ping pong ftw
Anyway thats really it, and for leadership, do colleges expect me to be president of many, or what?
I think I can be VP or President of maybe one, and maybe an officer of one more, is that good enough?

Awards
Do I need to have a lot of awards to get into the top schools?
I just go for competitions that I enjoy.. like economics
So far I only have 2nd place economics regional FBLA conference, although I think I might do well at state, maybe? I probably will get something for ac-dec too, but its more competitive.
Anyway, I have been playing piano for 10 years, but I don't take lessons anymore (because of school conflicts) and I strictly play only for fun :P Should I try to win some awards? I play piano for the elderly btw.

Thanks, please comment!!!

*lol - my threads sort of become rants.
