Well, West Campus is closer to the main arts quad, Ho Plaza, the libraries, collegetown, etc.

Hasbrouck is all the way in the northeast corner of the university--kind of in the boondocks and away from all the action imo.

any of you here have experienced the summer courses? I mean is it useful to do some summer courses before transferring?

My online status has had my application forwarded to admissions for review for the past three weeks. I applied to CALS. Today I got an email requesting my midterm reports? I am in the middle of finals plus my college does not send out midterm reports. I don't recall Cornell asking for midterm reports from the Common Application web site. Anyone else being asked for midterm reports and should I be reading something into this request? I am responding back that my college does not send out midterm reports, that my final grades will be available after the 1st week of June, and going into my finals I have A's in four courses and one A- in one course. Hope they can live with that.

I believe on their website, they said that the transfer application consists of the midterm report. Check it here: Cornell University Undergraduate Admissions Office - HOW TO APPLY, item #4.. And the midterm report that I used is: http://admissions.cornell.edu/apply/transfer/Transfer_Midterm_Report_Form.pdf

I don't think they ask for the official midterm report.. :) Good luck different_steps.

Thanks fri3nds04 for the info. Went back up to the Common App web site and it is not part of the supplement. Other schools that I applied to using the Common App that required midterm reports listed it as one of the docs required. I did not go to the Cornell site as I trusted the Common App site. Oh well, they got what I have and if they really want my Spring semester grades guess they will have to wait until after June.

Just a suggestion different_steps.. If I were you, I would do and send the midterm report, although it seems kinda too late.. I mean, they are considering your application.. and that's why they want you to send the midterm report (at least I think so).. do and send the midterm report.. unless you are not that excited going to Cornell.. :D

It is not that I am not excited about the propect of going to Cornell its just that trying to get a mid term report from professors at this point won't be easy. In fact, one of the colleges that required midterm reports, when I asked two of my professors they told me they don't do those and I should go ask the dean's office. So I ended up running around for nothing.

Wow.. I see the reason why you will just let them wait.. :) My professors are really nice.. so I got them signed it pretty easily.. :)

Different_steps... i got the mid-term report request via e-mail today too! wat the f* ...I already sent my mid-term grade report....

I just read up on the new West Campus facilities - it seems like a fantastic place to live! Fingers still crossed for Cornell. I continue to wait for a decision.

wow you guys are talking about the dorms but we are still waiting for the decisions. Any of you are junior standing? Is it true that our apps have to be approved by the head of the depart respectively?

I recieved my credit evaluation from ILR in the mail. If I can afford Cornell next semester, I'll be given junior standing.

And yes, definately live in West Campus. From what I've heard and seen, it's pretty nice.

You are from ILR? OK, cool. I am applying to CAS. Why CAS is so late?

Yes, why is CAS so late???????
