I got a 4 on the AP Chemistry exam (way back in sophomore year of high school) and for various reasons did not take it during my freshman year. I'm now a rising sophomore in engineering and have to take CHEM 2090. I'm doing my best to self-review/study since I barely remember any chem. I'm hearing bad things about the course and really don't want to take it.

Do you recommend taking the CASE? How difficult is it? Would I be okay with reviewing with a AP review book like Barrons or Princeton Review?

Thank you.
