Cornell Chemistry Advanced Standing Examination

Hey I got my AP chem score (which was a four) but on Cornell's orientation guide it says that

"Two examinations are given, one each for Chemistry 2070 (2090) and 2080. Take one or both of these exams if you studied in high school outside of the U.S., or if you believe you deserve higher placement than the results of the AP exam indicated."

I believe that I could do better by reviewing this summer. I was wondering if anyone on this forum has taken the CASE exam and if so how does it stack up against the AP Chem exam.

I am imagining that it will not be multiple choice, mainly free response, but that is just a guess. Any information would be great. Thanks.

I would like to know this too.

BUMPing this, even though its an old topic. Would like to know this as well for this year.

Likewise, I’d like to hear a response to this topic as well.

Rereading this I sound like an idiot, but some of the information is helpful:

WongTongTong, it’s probably not that important, but did you take IB or AP chem and how did you score on their respective examinations?

I took AP Chem, just called to hear my scores
