Yeah, this TO DO list may have no significance, but I’m just asking because my friend who applied to Cornell said there was nothing on her TO DO list.

Does anyone know when decisions for human ecology will be released? i know decisions for hotel and cas were already posted…

CAS decisions are already out? I think you got that wrong.

IRL and Hotel decisions should be the first ones to release. Other colleges release their decisions on March 28th - April 1st. Wait. so did your friend get accepted already and her FA portal says No “to do” list?

I submitted the entire tax return on February 15th. However, I just noticed after looking at the To Do list after a long time, there is 1 item there: The parent’s employer W2, due 2/15!!!

I panicked and quickly uploaded it. 1 month late. Am I screwed for financial aid?

Also, I’m pretty sure the verifications are random. They can’t verify EVERYONE, so they probably pick a certain percentage or something to make sure people aren’t lying on financial aid documents.

I think we should all stop assuming this to do list. Just think about it, according to their website - for checking the financial aid app status - “Using this secure site, you will be able to track your financial aid application materials. Navigate to the Financial Aid “To Do List.” Only outstanding items are listed.”
ONLY outstanding items are listed. So you probably have those listed b/c you never handed those in right…? I sent in most (if not all) my financial aid docs and I have nothing on my to do list. But it always was blank on my to do list (prior to sending the docs and it still is). Cornell is my dream school and the perfect fit. I really am hoping for the best Good luck to all of us.

Yes you are right. It says no to do list.
FAFSA is not enough for Cornell because the CSS profile has more in depth questions about your family’s financial situations. FAFSA just asks you and your parents yearly income. CSS profile asks for you and your parent’s yearly income, other government funding, assets, savings, expenses, etc… They use these information to calculate how much aid they should really give you. CSS must be submitted in order to receive aid.

Pell grant is rewarded based on what your EFC is calculated by FAFSA.
