Do you guys think any of this is applicable if I haven’t submitted tax returns yet (as in, does anyone has it who hasn’t completed stuff that was due earlier like the parent and student tax returns)? Yes, I know they will be very late (it doesn’t appear as if I’ll qualify for much anyways but here’s hoping) but my parents won’t have have everything filed until early April. So I guess I’m asking: anyone have this who didn’t submit the tax returns or other basic stuff?

i also submitted my stuff late and only have the two original forms as items on the to-do lists, so i wouldnt worry.

win888 and lilmelonred: I’m in the same situation as you guys.

Cornell better accept me. If not, I will write them a rejection letter rejecting my rejection from Cornell. If I am nice, I will put them on my waitlist.

Truuuu story

Just thought I’d let you guys know we won our first baseball game! Woo kind of random but hey

I’m not even checking the financial aid list thing. Think about it. It’s too inconclusive to relieve any stress if you do have the verification, but it is probably really stressful if you don’t have it. Let’s just chill until March 28.

I love your post RandomPigeon…ha ha. My friend actually knew a kid who was not accepted to MIT. Ya, he rejected his rejection and showed up anyway. I think they actually allowed him to stay too. Anyway good luck!!

I think the Ides of March would be a perfect day to release decisions, don’t you agree? Marking the day of prophecies not being fulfilled…a little dark but hey, I’m bored.

RandomPigeon, very funny :)

Any likely letters yet (URMs/Women in Engineering)? If Cornell follows the same pattern of sending them as last year, then people should be receiving them any day now.

is it possible for female engineers at the college of agriculture and life science also get a likey? or this only applies to females who got accepted to the college of engineering?

Are there engineers at CALS? Is it bio eng or something?

Yes there is bioengineering and I think also environmental engineering at CALS.

Wait. Woah. I applied Bioengineering at the engineering school. Whats the difference between the two bioengineering majors?

Nothing is different. both are the same. it’s just that if you do bio engineering at CALS, you have to be at the CALS school first 2 years and then the last 2 years will be at college of engineering. CALS you don’t need subject exams. bio engineering at CALS is affiliated with college of engineering. the requirements to graduate is the same for either school. CALS tuition is cheaper too.

My grades this year weren’t as great as normal, I usually get mostly A’s and B’s but I got really sick and spent sometime in the hospital was not able to attend classes regularly. My grades last year were solid. Also my dad was on the board, and now is still asked to visit a couple times a year to give input on university matters. He was also a matter of quill and dagger and my brother goes there. I sent a letter explaining my grades, but I’m nervous my odds will still be affected because they weren’t as good as usual.

I’m not an outstanding student, but I’m also not a slacker, I get all A’s and B’s, played varsity sports, and was a part of many clubs. My dad was a board member for a long time and now the university still asks him to come up to help with financial decisions (He is an in investment banker), he was also a member of Quill and Dagger. Also my brother goes to cornell he is a sophomore this year. My grades took a dip this year to due pretty bad illness that hindered my ability to regularly attend classes. I sent a letter as did my college counselors and the school explaining the change in grades to all my school what happened, Do I still have a chance?

I applied as a girl in engineering and I’m not getting anything. I have a women in egnieering friend who’s convinced I’ll get a likely. LOL after being rejected from MIT I’m convinced that I’m not getting in anywhere else OTL. But yeah, please tell me if someone gets one. Tomorrow is supposedly the last day for liklies.

Tomorrow is the last day? oh boy…

Are they sent by email or mail?

email, apparently. Wendeli, did any of your other friends get likelies for Cornell?
