but you SHOULD inform them at all costs!!

@Newberrytiger Did you apply for financial aid?? yea…I remember. You did and you got it. Okay, when I logged into my application status page, it says “No current to do items” in the financial to-do list. What should I do? I need aid and I just looked over the future plans section and the supplement to see if there was any question asked regarding financial aid, but there wasn’t any. I haven’t sent in the financial aid forms, though. Is there some way to indicate that I will apply for financial aid?

I don’t remember indicating anywhere that I was going to apply for financial aid. I think all that you have to do is make sure you fill out the CSS profile and FAFSA before the deadline and everything should be good. Don’t forget the tax returns for your parents, as well as YOUR tax returns (this is what I forgot) or a non-filing statement. Fortunately, if you are missing anything documentation-wise after the deadline, finaid is really flexible with you as long as you send them a nice email. I was able to send in my non-filing statement within a week before the deadline and I got my estimate just a few days after decisions went out.

Does anyone else not have their ACT score showing up? My SAT scores are there in numerical form. But for my ACT, there’s just a checkmark without my score o.O

Same here happy^^

My ACT score is much higher, but I think they superscore the SAT because my numbers are the highest out of two tests… The ACT I think is only the highest composite they want

My Applicant status says that they haven’t received an application fee, but I paid with creditcard/commonapp. Anyone else have this issue?

Where do you guys see your SAT scores? My status just lists the school/major I applied to, that my app fee was received and the term. Then it says all my materials were received and my application was forwarded to the admissions committee for review…

Anyone else have secondary report and transcript missing? I thought it was part if the common app?

I havent even got my Cornell ID / PIN yet :(

To everyone regarding the transcripts/scores/etc. missing. It takes Cornell time to match all the information as it is not downloaded together. Let me give you my example. I submitted my app on 12/24, got my ID on 1/2, my application status showed “fee not paid” for the next 4 days and my SAT scores didn’t show up until day before!! :)

So I guess patience is the key. If in early february you still have something missing, they WILL notify you!!

:)

find myself daydreaming about cornell in school…gahh decisions need to come out now

I basically in the same situation; I paid the application fee through the common app, yet the app status says that I haven’t paid for it.

It takes a few days/week to process app fees

I was accepted ED to CAS and I didn’t get my ID and whatnot for at least 1.5 weeks and I had to email them in order to get it. I don’t recall seeing my ACT/SAT scores on the portal. Any and all questions you guys have as far as applying and the Cornell website are probably discussed in great length on the ED thread. Good luck!

Some people told me that Cornell is the easiest Ivy League school to get in and isn’t as prestigious as other Ivies. Any thoughts on this?

^^ that’s pretty much true. The numbers are readily available to look at. Lower avg standardized tests and higher acceptance rate. But Cornell is still an amazing school with very rigorous academic coursework, so don’t let relative prestige blind you.

I wouldn’t say it is the easiest to get into by any stretch. Yes, statistically, it looks like it is. But one thing that Cornell looks for is whether or not you’re a good fit for the school you’re applying to. So, even if you have the stats you may not have the Cornell “factor.” The valedictorian of my school two years ago, got into every Ivy except Cornell and now goes to Harvard.

^What would you describe the “Cornell factor” as?
