@hayley636 which school do you have the transfer option to?
@NHgirl334 Human Ecology
Did anyone from ILR get the application yet?
Ccollege2020 I haven’t heard anything and I’m also from ILR. I’m getting nervous for no reason >.<

@ccollege2020 fall rush is no issure for transfers at all. S1 was a transfer and attended orientation and all rush events. It was a great way for him to find his community.
Have u guys ever heard of a case where a student failed a non required course and was below the 3.0 Gpa but still got accepted? I’m a bit worry cause I might have failed a non required course but I have passed all my required courses to transfer
@ccollege2020 and @MaeSakurma I am ILR also and haven’t heard back yet. I guess since we all haven’t received and contact that they’re just not ready to send them out.
Does anyone know if the transfer requirement of B or better in every course means both B’s and B-'s or simply just B’s or better?
@jacbellini No grade lower than a C. Have to maintain a minimum of 3.0 so you would have to balance out a B- or C with A’s to keep your GPA at 3.0 or above
I know for ILR you must have at least a B (don’t think B-'s count) in every course and a 3.3 GPA. @jacbellini
@vlindo so if I have B- in a course and I had an ILR transfer I lose my transfer offer?
From my understanding it seems that way, but I would email ILR and ask them since it may depend on the course or they might over look it @jacbellini
Do you guys know what percentage of ILR kids got guaranteed transfer? It seems like a significant amount even compared to those admitted! Makes me worried for this year.
If you have a B minus I would talk to the transfer admissions person. I heard about someone who got a C and was accepted if he agreed to retake the class over the summer.
If you’re worried about your grades, best thing to do is email admissions to keep them on board, shows your committed/you can talk about why etc.
Really though, don’t worry, it’ll almost certainly work out.
My son had a guaranteed transfer to ILR a few years ago, and got below the required grade point average his first year, and still got in. They did say his transfer was no longer guaranteed, and that they’d re-evaluate his application. I think it helped that he emailed/phoned his contact at Cornell to discuss his case. He had actually emailed before he got the bad grade to ask if it would be better to drop the class (which would show as a drop) or complete it, risking a bad grade. They advised keeping the class. He did try hard to not get the bad grade, but he did (I think it was a C? in calculus).
By the way, once at Cornell, he had no trouble with the workload or difficulty in ILR. And graduated.
Is anyone else struggling to complete the required courses?? I have to take 2 lab sciences next semester (I chose microbiology and anatomy) in order to fulfill a humec transfer and i’m honestly dreading it… worried that I won’t be able to keep up high grades in those courses as I’m a political science major who hasn’t done real lab work since junior year of high school. Also trying to pass off a 300-level “writing intensive” history course as “english composition” because we literally don’t have english comp at my school other than freshman writing which I’m ineligible to take because of my AP scores.
Is anybody knowledgeable about financial aid and transfer students?
@hayley636 Just to provide words of comfort, I know transfers both guaranteed and nonguaranteed who didn’t fulfill the required coursework. I know a sophomore transfer who didn’t fulfill the writing requirement even though It was required for his guaranteed transfer. but he did have to take it as soon as possible. i’m fairly certain they’ll be somewhat lax if you somehow cannot fulfill one course (i would take it of course just in case)
