3 Questions if anyone can help me out!!!
1.Did anyone applying to the ILR school receive one of these invitation emails???
2. Is it true that only 400 admitted URM students are invited to this???
3. Does anyone know if Cornell is still sending out these email invitations???
Thanks!!!
I applied to ILR and I got a diversity email. I also got a letter from ILR earlier telling me I’m accepted.
I have no idea how many are sent out.
I also don’t know if they send out any more.
Hope I helped!
I’m pretty sure I got rejected. ILR URM here. No decision letter yet.
@lyannastark no, I would wait until Ivy day, because plenty of applicants get in without LL or Diversity Letter.
@Chrysanthemum14 congrats! which school?
@Cornell20 no problem! the whole early acceptances and stuff for SHA and ILR are very confusing as even on the cornell website it says “Early March- Some SHA applicants receive acceptances”
@lyannastark I applied to ILR and still have yet to receive any kind of email or letter if that makes you feel better
I applied to CHE and haven’t received anything, either. Not feeling down, though, since it’s not like everyone who gets accepted receive such letters. [-X
LL are often sent out to kids who are over qualified or are very diverse in order to for the college to try to win them over. I didn’t know this till I talked to an admissions counselor at Cornell. I didn’t get one and I was freaking out but if you don’t get a LL that does not mean you are going to be rejected.
If a financial aid officer emailed me personally to request documents that were misfiled, is that a good sign or am I reading into it?
@Ksty1098 Yes that sounds like a good sign.
@Ksty1098 I would take that as a good sign but I’m definitely no expert, just a hopeful applicant.
On my portal it still says that they haven’t received my taxes…I realize I submitted them later than they wanted but I called them around the time and said it was fine. I tried to call again yesterday because I found this odd and couldn’t reach anyone, just heard odd electronic shrieking through the phone…I’ll have to call tomorrow again. So I guess what I’m saying is, if they contacted you they obviously care/need that info.
And for anyone who plans on attending Cornell, how do you plan on getting over the weather situation? I’m from central Texas so yo can imagine that Cornell’s weather is DRASTICALLY different from where I live and I don’t know how I could get past that fact when making my college decision (all assuming I get into COE which I’m fairly positive I won’t).
@bluepaint1 Same on the Texas thing.
@Ksty1098 good sign!!! same thing happened to us a few days ago with Northeastern U and yesterday my son was accepted.
-sobs- the rest of us unfortunate souls have to wait until ivy day
When’s ivy day? March 31?
@FireBallsDJ Yes, I think the school will post decisions at 5:00 pm?
Hi everyone. I am an African international applicant and this Monday, I got an email saying that I am very likely to be admitted to cornell. Does anyone of you have any idea what that means? Is it an indication that am in? Btw I applied to the College of Arts and Sciences.
@vegen030797 CONGRATS!! The likely letter Is an indication that you are very qualified and you will probably get in on Ivy Day.
How bad is it that Im an URM in CHE and I haven’t received any emails or phone calls?
